Burr Ridge Village Center Finally Has a Breakfast Spot Again. Here's Where Mornings Go Now.

From January 2025 until sometime before mid-September 2026, Burr Ridge Village Center had no sit-down breakfast restaurant. That ended when Aria's Kitchen opened at 590 Village Center Drive, with so little fanfare that Patch reported on Oct. 15 that it had gotten "little publicity" in its first month. If you've been eating breakfast in Burr Ridge over the past year and a half, you've probably been eating it on Burr Ridge Parkway. Now the Village Center has a morning anchor again, and that changes how a Saturday there can begin.

The Gap on Village Center Drive

Yolk, the breakfast chain at 595 Village Center Drive, closed in January 2025 after two and a half years. Patch's report on the closing did not give a reason. That left the center without a sit-down breakfast. You could still get coffee and pastries, and The Hampton Social kept serving weekend brunch, but there was nowhere to sit down for eggs on a Tuesday.

Then the center lost a restaurant from another part of the day. Wok n Fire, a longtime tenant at 590 Village Center Drive, closed in April 2026 after 16 years. Aria's moved into that space. Patch says it opened "more than a month" before the Oct. 15 story, so sometime before mid-September. Counting from Yolk's closing, the center went about 20 months without a dedicated breakfast room. Patch's own caption says Aria's "filled a breakfast void at the Burr Ridge Village Center."

What Aria's Kitchen Actually Serves

Owner Bryan Sord told Patch that the cooking is made to order:

"My food is 100 percent freshly made. Everything we do here is prepared by order."

The menu on Aria's website covers a full breakfast and lunch. Breakfast includes skillets such as a steak skillet and a Mexican skillet, breakfast plates, omelets, and a Benedict section that includes a smoked-salmon version. You'll also find chilaquiles, pancakes, waffles, and stuffed French toast. Lunch adds sandwiches and burgers. The coffee list goes past drip, with Almond Joy, cinnamon-roll, honey-lavender, and Nutella lattes. Patch reports the restaurant also serves a variety of cocktails, which makes it a weekend brunch option and not only a weekday stop.

Aria's is open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to its Village Center directory listing, and its website takes breakfast and brunch reservations. The site lists one daily schedule and doesn't set separate weekend brunch hours, so plan on 8 to 3 any day you go.

Burr Ridge Parkway Covers the Early Hours

The 3 p.m. close and 8 a.m. open explain why the Parkway spots still matter. Aria's covers the long, sit-down part of the morning. Burr Ridge Parkway covers the hours before it opens. Here is how the morning options line up, based on each business's own listing:

Spot Address Morning hours listed Best fit
The Great American Bagel 104 Burr Ridge Parkway Mon–Sat, 6 a.m.–4 p.m. Earliest grab-and-go; call before going
Patti's Sunrise Cafe 78 Burr Ridge Parkway Breakfast and lunch daily Classic sit-down breakfast
Nectar Coffee & Eatery 306 Burr Ridge Parkway Weekdays 7 a.m.–5 p.m.; weekends 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Coffee plus food, open into late afternoon
Starbucks 515 Village Center Drive Daily, 5 a.m.–9 p.m. Earliest coffee at the Village Center
Aria's Kitchen 590 Village Center Drive Daily, 8 a.m.–3 p.m. Sit-down breakfast, Benedicts, cocktails
The Hampton Social 705 Village Center Drive Sat–Sun brunch until 3 p.m. Weekend brunch

A few notes on the table. Patti's Sunrise Cafe describes itself as serving breakfast and lunch every day, so it's the Parkway's closest match to what Aria's offers. Nectar Coffee & Eatery opens an hour before Aria's on weekdays and stays open two hours later every day. That makes it the easier stop if you need breakfast before 8 or a coffee and snack at 4. The Great American Bagel lists the earliest opening on the Parkway, 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday, on the company locator. A quick call to confirm walk-in hours before you drive over is worth it.

At the Village Center, the Starbucks directory listing shows the longest hours in the table, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The Hampton Social runs brunch on Saturdays and Sundays until 3 p.m. With Aria's open daily, the Village Center now has a sit-down breakfast on weekdays, which it lacked for most of 2025 and 2026.

If you have guests staying at the far end of the Parkway, the Chicago Marriott Southwest at Burr Ridge, 1200 Burr Ridge Parkway, has two morning options. Ciazza Kitchen + Bar serves breakfast and dinner. Acorn Cafe, featuring Starbucks, sells breakfast bites and coffee Tuesday through Sunday from 6:30 to 10 a.m.

This Saturday Is the First Real Test

Aria's has scheduled its grand opening for Saturday, Oct. 24. Sord told Patch that children 8 and under will get gift certificates for kids' meals. That same afternoon, the Village Center's Boo! Ridge Trick-or-Treat runs from 2 to 4 p.m., with treats, games, and costumes welcome.

Before this fall, a family heading to Boo! Ridge would have eaten breakfast somewhere else and driven over later. Now the whole day can happen in one place:

  1. Have a late breakfast or early lunch at Aria's, and pick up the kids'-meal gift certificates if you have children 8 or under.
  2. Get the costumes on. Aria's closes at 3 p.m., and Boo! Ridge starts at 2 p.m.
  3. Trick-or-treat around the Village Center from 2 to 4 p.m., without moving the car.

The overlap between Aria's hours and Boo! Ridge is one hour, from 2 to 3 p.m. That's enough room to finish lunch and walk straight into the event. Book ahead if you can, since the website takes reservations and the grand opening and Boo! Ridge will both draw families to the center that day.

How the Holiday Calendar Fits Around an 8-to-3 Restaurant

The Village's free Deck the Green tree lighting is Friday, Nov. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. on the Village Green. The Village of Burr Ridge is advertising a holiday train, Santa and Mrs. Claus, costumed characters, and hot cocoa. The Winter Market, run with Chicago Street Markets, opens the same evening from 4 to 8 p.m. and brings local vendors plus food and drink from the center's restaurants. Friday is an evening event, and Aria's will have been closed for two hours by the time the tree lights. For dinner that night, you'll be choosing among the center's evening restaurants.

Saturday, Nov. 21, is where a breakfast anchor counts. The Winter Market reopens from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aria's opens at 8, which leaves two hours for skillets and a honey-lavender latte before the vendors open in the Entertainment District. Until this fall, you couldn't build that Saturday at the Village Center. A 10 a.m. market start meant eating breakfast on the Parkway or at home first.

Where Each Kind of Morning Goes Now

Heading into the holidays:

  • Before 7 a.m.: Starbucks on Village Center Drive opens at 5. The Great American Bagel on the Parkway opens at 6, Monday through Saturday, but call first.
  • Weekday breakfast before 8: Nectar Coffee & Eatery opens at 7.
  • Sit-down breakfast any day: Patti's Sunrise Cafe on the Parkway, or Aria's Kitchen at the Village Center from 8 a.m.
  • Benedicts, chilaquiles, or a brunch cocktail: Aria's daily, or The Hampton Social on weekends until 3.
  • Breakfast before an event at the Village Center: Aria's, starting with the Oct. 24 grand opening and the Nov. 21 Winter Market.
  • Visitors staying at the Marriott: Acorn Cafe, Tuesday through Sunday until 10 a.m.
